And we've reached the three week mark! I think I'm in it for the long haul now, though just saying that has me worried I've jinxed myself. So for now, we'll just go with, "Huzzah! It's day twenty one!" And day twenty one is another one of those days that doesn't necessarily have a major gratitude focus, but rather a few moments of gratitude sprinkled throughout the day so..let's get to it.
Today I am grateful for:
- The fact that it's Monday. I'm weird, I like the feeling of a fresh week.
- The fact that my mindset is much healthier than it has been, and much less clouded.
- Another awesome appointment with Tiffany, who feels more like a friend than a therapist sometimes
- Sprouts Apple Cinnamon granola
- An afternoon of shopping shenanigans with my mom
- A mom who sings car-aoke with me
- The ability to make a stranger smile (and not even in a creepy way)
- Being referred to as, "the one with the muscles," which is crazy flattering, even though it's code for, "give it to her, she will carry it."
- Getting to wave frantically at Darrell in Costco today, which led to a hug that has me convinced he was not embarrassed by my waving.
- Another chapter of my book, written and ready.
- This wise life lesson of the day: If a puzzle piece gets tossed into the box of a different puzzle, it will spend it's days thinking it's broken, or wrong, because no matter how hard it tries, it simply cannot fit with the other pieces. When it turns out all along that nothing is wrong with the piece, it was just tossed into the wrong box.
So that's all I got for today. Nothing deep or profound, no insightful rambles, just a little list of grateful moments.
May you find happiness in the smallest of moments.
- Dommie
